Brake Caliper - Vehicles With: High Performance Brakes : Removal
WARNING:
Failure to release the tension and calibrate the electric parking brake during rear parking brake related service procedures, could cause the parking brake to function incorrectly or become inoperative.
CAUTION:
- Brake fluid will damage paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove the fluid and clean the area with water.
- LH illustration shown, RH is similar.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
- Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE
- Refer to: PARKING BRAKE CABLE TENSION RELEASE
- RH side only.
Torque : 10 Nm
- CAUTION:
- Always plug any open connections to prevent contamination.
- If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
NOTE: To prevent the loss of brake fluid, using the special tool apply the brake pedal and set to 40 mm (1.6 in) below the rest position.Remove and discard the sealing washers.
Renew Part: Brake hose Quantity: 1 .
Torque : 42 Nm
- Release the 2 clips.
- Release the clip.

WARNING: If the brake caliper piston seal is damaged a new brake caliper must be installed.CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang on the brake hose.
Torque : 28 Nm
