Crankshaft Front Seal (G1997931): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the seal.

    Using a suitable tool, install the front crankshaft oil seal.

    Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1628 

    Torque: 26 Nm 

  2. Install the crankshaft damper.

    Refer to: CRANKSHAFT PULLEY .

  3. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
