Powertrain Control Module Adaptions

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has the ability to adapt the input values it uses to control certain outputs. This capability maintains engine refinement and provides the engine emissions remain within the legislated limits.

If the PCM is replaced, the new PCM will relearn the adaptions as the vehicle is driven. Some components require a reset of adaptions when replaced and this can be achieved using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.
