The Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) is located behind the right second row seat. The FPDM is attached to a bracket and secured by 2 nuts to the rear underfloor reinforcement panel.

The FPDM is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The FPDM regulates the fuel flow and pressure by controlling the speed of the fuel pump. The FPDM supplies power to the fuel pump using a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) output signal. The FPDM has a switched power supply from the fuel pump relay, located in the Rear Junction Box (RJB). The FPDM energizes the fuel pump if it receives a valid PWM signal from the PCM with a duty cycle from 3.5% to 55%.

The following conditions will energize the fuel pump relay:

If there is a fault in the system, the FPDM sends a diagnostic notification signal to the PCM. The fault related Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are stored in the PCM. The DTCs can be retrieved from the PCM using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.
