The crankshaft pulley/mass damper is attached to and rotates with the crankshaft. The crankshaft pulley/mass damper gives the drive for the primary drive belt which in turn gives rotational power for the front-mounted accessories such as the generator, the air conditioning compressor and the coolant pump.
