Exhaust Rear Section - Vehicles With 163 And 180 PS Engines
The exhaust rear section has a single rear silencer.
The exhaust rear section is connected by a pipe to the exhaust center section and is secured with a clamp. The exhaust rear section is supported with 2 hanger brackets. A hanger bracket forward and an other rearward of the rear silencer. Each is connected to a mounting rubber and bracket. One bracket is welded on the side of the rear subframe, the other is bolted to the vehicle body.
The rear silencer has 2 mass dampers installed. A mass damper forward of the rear silencer secured to a bracket on the inlet pipe the other secured to a bracket attached to the rear silencer assembly.
The exhaust gases are expelled from the rear silencer via one outlet pipe. The outlet pipe is curved downwards to direct exhaust gases away from the rear of the vehicle.
