Pinpoint Test B: Transmission Shift Quality

  1. B1: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHECK 
    1. Using the JLR  approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - Read DTC  . Check for DTC  in the following control module:
      • Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module (ABS)

      Are there DTC  in the above modules?

      Yes:  Refer to the relevant DTC  index and perform the relevant corrective actions. Perform a road test and re-assess the quality of the gear shift. If the gear shift concern is still present GO to PINPOINT TEST C . If the gear shift concern has now been corrected return the vehicle to the customer.

      No:  GO to PINPOINT TEST C .

  • C0063-64 - Yaw rate sensor (signal plausibility failure)
  • C0063-82 - Yaw rate sensor (Alive/sequence counter incorrect/not updated)

  • C006A-64 - Multi-axis acceleration sensor (signal plausibility failure)
  • C0081-00 - ABS Malfunction indicator (no sub type information)
