Glow Plugs (G1817201): Removal

CAUTION:
- Make sure not to interchange the glow plugs between cylinders during service of the engine. If one or more glow plugs have to be removed from the engine, make sure that they are clearly labelled with the cylinder number, so that they are not mixed up during installation into the engine.
- When all relevant glow plugs have been re-installed into their respective cylinders, run the application 'Enable/Disable Glow Plugs' in order to configure the glow plug resistance values using Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.
- If one or more new glow plugs have been installed onto the engine, run the application 'Enable/Disable Glow Plugs' in order to configure the glow plug resistance values using JLR approved diagnostic equipment.
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling these components.

- Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Raise and support the vehicle.

NOTE: This step only applies to vehicles equipped with a High Pressure (HP) Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler.
Torque
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) pipe to EGR valve bolts: 12Nm
EGR pipe to manifold bolts: 7Nm
Torque
EGR valve upper bolt: 12Nm
EGR valve lower bolt: 7Nm
EGR valve nut: 7Nm
Torque : 18Nm
