Glass Fixed Roof - Project 8 (G2263102): Installation

Make sure that the mating faces of the roof panel frame are clean and free of foreign material.
Make sure that the mating faces of the roof panel glass are clean and free of foreign material.
Install the adhesive template to the correct position.
Cut 1 mm from the inside edges of the adhesive applicator nozzle.

CAUTION:
- The vehicle must remain stationary during the adhesive curing period.
- The vehicle must remain in the workshop for at least 8 hours after the adhesive is applied.
- Apply a continuous bead of adhesive, 15 mm wide, 20 mm high in the direction illustrated, returning to the start point overlapping by 60 mm alongside the adhesive template.
Renew Part: Glass bonding adhesive kit Quantity: 1 .
- Any stop/starts in the application of the adhesive must overlap by 60 mm.
Remove the adhesive template.

NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
- Install the roof panel frame to the glass making sure the bolt holes are correctly aligned.
- Remove any excess adhesive from the surrounding area of the glass.
Using a suitable tool, measure the gap at the front corners of the roof panel glass assembly as illustrated.
General Equipment: Feeler gauge
Using a suitable tool, measure the gap between the frame and glass at the rear of the roof panel assembly as illustrated.

- Install the inner glass roof panel trims.
- Install the roof panel frame assembly.
