Fuel Injectors (G1867850): Installation

Install a new fuel injector seal.

Renew Part: Fuel injector washer(s) Quantity: 4 .

Install the fuel injector.
Repeat Step 2 for the remaining fuel injectors.
CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.

Install the fuel injector retaining clamps.

Renew Part: Fuel injector clamp bolts Quantity: 4 .

Torque

Stage 1: 11Nm

Stage 2: 162°

Install new high pressure fuel pipes.

Renew Part: Fuel injector high pressure pipe(s) Quantity: 4 .

Torque

Stage 1: 10Nm

Stage 2: 62°

Install the wiring harness.

Position the fuel injector fuel return line to the fuel injectors.

Connect the fuel injector fuel return line to the fuel injectors.
CAUTION: Make sure that the electrical connectors are installed correctly.

- Connect the 4 fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Gently pull each fuel injector electrical connector to make sure it has been installed correctly.
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
CAUTION: Bleed the fuel system by cranking the engine to purge the air from the system.

Bleed the fuel system.

Install the NVH material.
Install the engine cover.

Use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to configure the fuel injectors.
