Brake Caliper - Project 8 (G2248942): Installation

NOTE:
- Only do this step if the component was previously removed.
- Make sure that a new O-ring seal is installed.
- Install the new O-ring seal.
Renew Part: Electric park brake actuator fitting kit Quantity: 1.
- Install the Electric Park Brake (EPB) actuator.
- Install and tighten the 2 new bolts.
Torque : 8Nm
Clean the brake caliper anchor plate using brake cleaning fluid.

CAUTION: Damaged components must be replaced.
Inspect the brake caliper piston and slide pin seals for damage.

NOTE: Make sure the brake hose is installed in the correct orientation.
- Install the brake hose to the body bracket.
Renew Part: Brake hose Quantity: 1.
- Install the clip.
- Connect and tighten the brake pipe union.
Torque : 15Nm
- Install the brake hose to the body bracket.
- Install the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the 2 brake caliper slide pins.
Torque : 28Nm
- Install the 2 dust caps.
- Connect the brake hose to the caliper and tighten the banjo bolt.
Torque : 30Nm
- Install the anti-rattle spring.
- Connect the brake pad wear sensor to the brake pad.
- Secure the grommet.
- Connect the EPB actuator electrical connector.
- Connect the startup battery ground cable.

- Connect the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment and configure the EPB.

- Bleed the brake system.

- Install the wheel and tire assembly.
