Door Window Opening And Closing

The door windows are operate when the vehicle is in Power Mode 6 (Ignition ON) or Power Mode 7 (Engine running). The door windows continue to be operable after the ignition is switched OFF, for 5 minutes or until a side door is opened.

The door windows include 2 operation modes, which are:

Inch mode open and close.
One touch mode open and close.

The inch mode close is activated by lightly pulling and holding the relevant window switch in the drivers door switchpack or switch in relevant door to its first position. The door window will move towards the closed position until the switch is released or until the window reaches the fully closed position.

The inch mode open is activated by lightly pressing and holding the relevant window switch in the drivers door switchpack or switch in relevant door to its first position. The door window will move towards the open position until the switch is released or until the window reaches the fully opened position.

The one touch mode close is activated by fully pulling and releasing the relevant window switch in the drivers door switchpack or switch in relevant door to its second position. The door window will move completely to the closed position. The one touch mode can be stopped any time by pressing or pulling the switch in any direction to any position.

When a door window open or close is selected with the switch on a driver door switchpack, the switchpack sends an open or close request message to the DDM on the LIN . If the message is for the driver door window then the DDM supplies power to the driver door window regulator motor to drive it in the appropriate direction. If the message is for one of the passenger door windows then the DDM sends messages through the HS CAN body systems bus to the relevant door module. The related door module then supplies power to the relevant door window regulator motor to drive it in the appropriate direction.
