Exhaust System: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. NOTE: This step is only required if previously removed.
    • Install the exhaust cross brace.
    • Connect the exhaust hanger brackets.
  2. CAUTION: Make sure the exhaust system is supported at all times.
    • With assistance from another technician, install the exhaust system.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

    Torque  : 25Nm 

  3. CAUTION: Make sure the exhaust system is supported at all times.

    With assistance from another technician, support the exhaust system and connect the 4 hanger brackets.

    • Install the left and right undershield.
    • Install and tighten the 4 nuts.

      Torque  : 5Nm 

    • Instal and tighten the 10 bolts.

      Torque  : 5Nm 

    • Install the 18 fasteners.
  5. NOTE: If equipped.
    • Install the center undershield.
    • Install and tighten the 2 nuts and the 4 bolts.

    Torque  : 5Nm 

  6. NOTE: Install a new exhaust clamp.

    Install the exhaust into position and secure with a new clamp between the exhaust system and the catalytic converter assembly.

    Renew Part: Front exhaust clamp Quantity  : 1.  Part Number:

    Torque  : 56Nm 

  7. Lower the vehicle.
