Video System (G2196502): Overview

NOTE: Video system features are only available on vehicles with InControl Touch Pro system.

The video system allows to the front seat occupants to view Television (TV) and Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) video images on the Touch Screen (TS).

The TV and DVD video images can be displayed on the TS in the following circumstances:

If the vehicle is below a predetermined speed threshold.
If the vehicle is equipped with dual-view TS (where market regulations allow).

The video system comprises the following components:

Infotainment Master Controller (IMC) with integral TV tuners
Touch Screen (TS)
Portable media interface panel
Four TV antennas
Three TV antenna amplifiers
Digital disc player
Headphone transmitter
Wireless headphones.

One pair of wireless headphones are supplied for the passenger use. Headphones are only supplied with vehicles fitted with a dual view Touch Screen (TS).

Primary user control of the InControl Touch Pro system is via the TS which is located in the center of the instrument panel. Control signals from the TS are relayed on an Automotive Pixel Link 2 (APIX2) connection to the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC). The IMC relays the control signals to the rest of the system on a High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) comfort systems bus.
