INCONTROL Touch Systems
The mobile phone system comprises the following components:
- The Audio Head Unit (AHU)
- The Touch Screen (TS)
- The microphone
- The left steering wheel switchpack
- The Audio Amplifier Module (AAM) - If equipped
- The vehicle speakers.
The Audio Head Unit (AHU) is located in the center of the instrument panel, below the Touch Screen (TS). The AHU is connected to the TS via an Automotive Pixel Link 2 (APIX2) connection.
Depending on vehicle specification the AHU is connected to the AAM with hardwired connections in order to provide the phone features in the vehicle.
When the Bluetooth® mobile phone is specified, the AHU supports the Bluetooth® mobile phone functionality and audio streaming. The Bluetooth® mobile phone software and a Bluetooth® antenna are located within the AHU. The software within the AHU processes the Bluetooth® wireless signals from the users Bluetooth® mobile phone and allows audio output, voice input and data display on the TS.
