General Remarks

NOTE:
  1. Removing fuses and disconnecting electrical connectors may cause the DTCs to set. After completing the compression test, clear DTCs using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
  2. The valve clearences must be set to the prescribed values in order to achieve accurate results during the compression test.

The compression test should be performed with the engine at normal operating temperature.
