Brake Vacuum Pump - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol (G2046495): Removal

NOTE:

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

General Equipment: 2 post lift
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the oil pump chain.
Refer to: OIL PUMP CHAIN
Disconnect the oil pump solenoid electrical connector.
Release the oil pump solenoid wiring harness from the 4 retaining clips.

CAUTION: Discard the vacuum pump seals.
- Remove the 4 bolts securing the vacuum pump to the engine assembly.
- Remove the vacuum pump assembly and discard the vacuum pump seals.

CAUTION: Discard the oil pick up pipe seal.NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- Remove the 2 bolts securing the oil pick up pipe to the vacuum pump assembly.
- Remove the oil pick up pipe from the vacuum pump assembly and discard the seal.
