Right Valve Cover (G2244095): Installation

CAUTION:
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.
- Installation of the valve cover and tightening must be carried out within 7 minutes of applying the sealant.

- Using a suitable plastic scraper remove any remaining sealing material.
- Apply two beads of silicone gasket sealant (Loctite 5901G or Loctite 5900) as shown above on the illustration. The application of the sealant must be 1.5 mm diameter and 12 mm long. Install the valve cover immediately after applying the sealant. The cover should be installed directly to the cylinder head without smearing the sealant.

- If a new valve cover is not being installed, make sure a new valve cover gasket is installed.
  Renew Part: Valve cover gasket Quantity: 1 .
- Install the special tool.
  Special Tool(s): 303-1446
- Using the special tool install the valve cover in the correct position.
- Remove the special tool after the valve cover has been correctly installed.
  Special Tool(s): 303-1446
NOTE: Install the bolts in the positions noted on removal.

Install and tighten the 18 bolts in the sequence illustrated.

Torque: 13Nm

Connect the breather.

- Secure the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Connect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Install the ground cable and tighten the bolt.
  Torque: 8Nm
Install the right fuel rail.
Refer to: RIGHT FUEL RAIL .
Install the supercharger.
Refer to: SUPERCHARGER .
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
