Oil Pump (G2244091): Installation

    • Lubricate a new O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

      Renew Part: Oil pump inlet tube O-ring seal(s) Quantity: 1  .

    • Install the new O-ring seal.
  2. CAUTION: Make sure the O-ring seal is not damaged when installing this component.

    • Connect the pipe to the oil pump assembly.
    • Reposition the oil pump assembly in the correct location.
    • Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 25Nm

    Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

    Torque: 12Nm

    Apply lubricant to the mating face.

    • Install the electrical connector.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque: 12Nm

    • Lubricate a new O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

      Renew Part: Oil pick up pipe O-ring seal Quantity: 1  .

    • Install the new O-ring seal to the pipe.
    • Install the pipe.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque: 12Nm 

  7. CAUTION: Using a suitable tool, lock the component.

    • Install the oil pump drive sprocket.
    • Using a suitable tool lock the oil pump drive sprocket in the position illustrated.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque: 21Nm

    Install the lower timing chain making sure the colored chain links align correctly with the fuel rail high-pressure fuel pump camshaft and crankshaft sprocket markings.

    • Install the guide.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque: 21Nm 

    • Make sure that the tensioner spring is correctly located.
  10. Install the oil pan.

    Refer to: OIL PAN .

  11. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
