Lower Timing Cover (G2244085): Removal

Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Refer to: CRANKSHAFT PULLEY .

Remove the accessory drive belt pulley and bracket assembly.

Remove the Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) tensioner.
Remove the brake vacuum pump.

Remove the lower timing cover.
