Wheel Knuckle (G1856521): Installation

    Torque  : 9Nm

    Torque  : 35Nm 

  4. WARNING: The component(s) may be heavy. Take extra care when handling.
    CAUTION:
    • Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
    • Take extra care when handling the assembly. Failure to follow this instruction might result in damage to the CV  or the CV  boot.

    Renew Part: Lower control arm bolt(s) Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 110Nm 

    Stage 2: 60° 

  5. CAUTION:
    • Take extra care when installing the upper control arm. Failure to follow this instruction might result in damage to the CV  or the CV  boot.
    • Make sure that a new nut and bolt is installed.

    Renew Part: Rear upper arm to wheel knuckle nut and bolt Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 60Nm 

    Stage 2: 60° 

  6. CAUTION:
    • Take extra care when installing the halfshaft. Failure to follow this instruction might result in damage to the CV  or the CV  boot.
    • Do not use air or power tools to remove or install the halfshaft nut.

    Use a new halfshaft nut to aid installation of the halfshaft into the hub.

    Renew Part: Rear halfshaft nut Quantity: 1  .

  7. CAUTION: Make sure that new nuts and bolts are installed

    Renew Part: Rear lower control arm nut and bolt Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 48Nm 

    Stage 2: 60° 

  8. CAUTION:
    • Discard the nuts and bolt.
    • Make sure that a new nut and bolt is installed.

    Renew Part: Rear lower arm to subframe nut and bolt Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 60Nm 

    Stage 2: 60° 

  9. WARNING: Using a suitable stand, support the lower arm.
    CAUTION: Make sure that a new nut and bolt is installed.

    Renew Part: Shock absorber to wheel knuckle mounting nut and bolt Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 70Nm 

    Stage 2: 120° 

  10. CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.

    Renew Part: Brake caliper carrier bolt(s) Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 70Nm 

    Stage 2: 120°

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  12. CAUTION: Do not use air or power tools to remove or install the halfshaft nut.

    • Apply the foot brake and tighten the new halfshaft nut.

      Torque  : 175Nm 

    • Loosen the halfshaft nut.

      Loosen  : 90° 

    • Install and tighten a halfshaft nut.

      Torque 

      Stage 1: 80Nm 

      Stage 2: 60° 

  13. Install the wheel and tire.

  14. Activate the electronic park brake.

    Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE SERVICE MODE ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION
