Rear Coil Spring Adjust (G2258222): Activation

CAUTION:
- The track setting of the rear spring is not for use on the public highway.
- If the vehicle has any components adjusted for track settings the vehicle must not be driven on the public highway and must be appropriately transported.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right side components are similar.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the rear wheels and tires.

- Steps 4-8 are only required to put the rear suspension into track position

CAUTION: The rear spring must never be adjusted using the upper stop ring.
- Rotate the spring seat in the direction illustrated.
- Continue to rotate the spring seat until a 6 mm (0.25 inch) gap is made.

NOTE: Return the adjustment shims to the customer for future use.
Remove the adjustment shims.
- Rotate the spring seat in the direction illustrated to close the gap between the coil spring seat and the stop ring.
- Tighten the spring seat hand tight.
- Repeat the procedure for the other side of the vehicle.
- Steps 10-14 are only required to put the rear suspension into road position.

CAUTION: The rear spring must never be adjusted using the upper stop ring.
- Rotate the spring seat in the direction illustrated.
- Continue to rotate the spring seat until a 20 mm (0.8 inch) gap is made.
Install the adjustment shims.
- Rotate the spring seat in the direction illustrated to close the gap between the coil spring seat and the adjustment shims.
- Tighten the spring seat hand tight.
- Repeat the procedure for the other side of the vehicle.
- Install the rear wheels and tires.
