Shock Absorber

The shock absorber tube is aluminum to reduce weight. The lower end of the shock absorber is mounted through a bearing and is attached to the wheel knuckle. The shock absorber top mount is secured to the vehicle body with a ball joint.
The shock absorber functions by restricting the flow of oil through internal galleries in the shock absorber piston, providing damping of undulations in the road surface.
