Smart Key Housing Renew (G2920432): Repair

Remove the chrome cap.

Remove the key blade.

Using the key blade, remove and discard the cover.

Remove the battery.
CAUTION: Care must be taken to make sure the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is not damaged when removing the cover. If the copper coil antenna is damaged the unit will be unserviceable.

Use a suitable tool to cut the fixings of the black anti tamper cover and lift away from the Printed Circuit Board (PCB).
CAUTION: When removing the PCB only touch the outer edges of the board.

Remove the PCB.

- Remove the screw.
- Remove the key ring.

Remove the silicone seal from the lower case and discard the case.

Visually check that the foam pads are installed on the new back cover as illustrated.

Install the silicone seal into the new lower case.

- Install the key ring.
- Install and tighten the screw.
  Torque : 1Nm

Make sure the key ring pin is present.
CAUTION: When installing the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) only touch the outer edges of the board.

NOTE: The PCB and cover are held in position with the foam pads on the new cover.

Install the PCB.

Install the PCB anti tamper cover.
NOTE: Make sure the battery is installed positive side up.
