Valet Mode

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Valet mode allows the doors to be locked and unlocked as normal, but access to the luggage compartment remains inhibited. The luggage compartment lid cannot be opened until valet mode is de-activated.

Valet mode can be enabled/disabled from the Home menu of the Touchscreen (TS), using a 4 digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). If necessary, valet mode can be disabled without a PIN using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.

Valet mode will not secure the glovebox. To keep the glovebox secured for any reason, the emergency key blade from the smart key must be used to lock the glovebox mechanically.
