The signals from the smart key are received by the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver. The RF receiver is located in the rear side of the headliner. The RF receiver is attached to a bracket, which is bonded to the headliner.

The RF receiver converts the signals transmitted by the smart key into digital messages. Then the RF receiver transmits the message via the serial communication line to the Remote Function Actuator (RFA). A permanent power supply is provided to the RF receiver by the Passenger Junction Box (PJB).
