Low Traction Launch
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Low traction launch helps to further enhance low speed maneuvering and pulling away from a standstill, in adverse conditions. Low friction launch is an extra feature that is enabled, or disabled, via the Touchscreen (TS).
To allow low traction launch to be enabled, make sure that:
- The vehicle is stationary.
- The accelerator pedal is completely released.
- The normal driving mode is enabled.
- The all surface progress control is not enabled (if equipped).
Low traction launch only operates at vehicle speeds below 30 km/h (19 mph). If this maximum speed is exceeded, then low traction launch is disabled. Low traction launch is also disabled if:
- The all surface progress control is enabled.
- The ECO or track driving modes are selected.
- The accelerator pedal is quickly pressed to its full travel (kickdown).
- A system fault is detected. In this event, a warning indicator displays in the message center and on the TS.
