Abnormal Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

In extreme circumstances, the all surface progress control may cause brake temperatures to exceed their preset limits. If this occurs the all surface progress control may become temporarily unavailable. However, the all surface progress control will fade out prior to unavailability. This situation allows the vehicle speed to gradually increase or decrease, depending on the characteristics of the terrain. Under these circumstances a warning message is displayed in the message center of the IC.

Once the brakes have reached an acceptable temperature, the message will be removed from the IC. All surface progress control, if required, can resume its operation.

If a fault is detected in the all surface progress control, the IC displays a message. This message notifies the all surface progress control is not available.
