Fuel Tank - Project 8 (G2244174): Installation

CAUTION:
- Make sure the fuel pump and sender unit is correctly installed in to the bracket in the fuel tank.
- Take extra care not to damage the fuel tank level sensor float and arm.
Install the fuel pump and sensor unit.
Connect the 2 fuel pipes and the electrical connector.
NOTE: Make sure the locating tang is installed in the correct position.

Using the special tool, install the locking ring.

Special Tool(s): 310-123
NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- Using a suitable stand raise the fuel tank assembly.
  General Equipment: Transmission jack
  
  Torque : 25Nm
- Connect the 2 fuel lines.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Install the fuel line to the 3 clips.
- Install the 4 bolts and the nut.
  Torque : 25Nm
- Connect the fuel delivery line.
- Connect the fuel return line.
- Install the 3 bolts and the nut to the underfloor panel.
- Install the 2 screws to the underfloor panel.
Install the fuel tank shield and the 5 nuts.
Torque

M8 nut: 25Nm
Install the 2 rear undershields and the 12 bolts.
Connect the fuel filler pipe to the fuel tank.
Reposition the heatshield.
Install the 2 bolts and the heatshield.
Install the driveshaft.

Fill the fuel tank with the amount recovered during the fuel tank drain procedure.
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
