Pedestrian Impact Sensor (G1822166): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. CAUTION:
    • The alignment mark on the pedestrian impact sensor tube should be aligned with the center of the bumper.
    • The pedestrian impact sensor tube must not be stretched during installation, so that the exposed length of tube at each end is not excessively long.
    • The pedestrian impact sensor tube must not be compressed during installation, so that the exposed length of tube at each end is not too short.
    • Make sure that there are no kinks in the pedestrian impact sensor tube after installation and the exposed length of tube is equal on both sides.
    • Inspect the pedestrian impact sensor for any signs of damage, such as cuts or slits. Install a new component if required.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
