Rear HALFSHAFT - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel/INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol/V6 S/C 3.0L Petrol (G1817243): Installation

Install the new circlip.

Renew Part: Circlip Quantity: 1.
CAUTION: Keep the halfshaft horizontal to avoid damaging the seal.

Install the halfshaft to the rear differential.
CAUTION: Take extra care when handling the assembly. Failure to follow this instruction might result in damage to the CV or the CV boot.

Install and tighten the new lower control arm to wheel knuckle nut and bolt.

Renew Part: Lower control arm nut(s) Quantity: 1.

Renew Part: Lower control arm bolt(s) Quantity: 1.

Torque

Stage 1: 110Nm

Stage 2: 60°
CAUTION:
- Take extra care when installing the halfshaft to the wheel knuckle. Failure to follow this instruction might result in damage to the CV or the CV boot.
- Do not use air or power tools to remove or install the halfshaft nut.
Use the new halfshaft nut to aid installation of the halfshaft into the hub.

Renew Part: Rear halfshaft nut Quantity: 1.
CAUTION: Take extra care when handling the assembly. Failure to follow this instruction might result in damage to the CV or the CV boot.
- Install and tighten the new upper control arm to wheel knuckle nut and bolt.
  Renew Part: Upper control arm bolts Quantity: 1.
  
  Renew Part: Upper control arm nut(s) Quantity: 1.
  
  Torque
  
  Stage 1: 60Nm
  
  Stage 2: 60°
- Install and tighten the new integral link nuts and bolts.
Renew Part: Integral link bolt Quantity: 1.

Renew Part: Integral link nut Quantity: 1.

Torque

Stage 1: 48Nm

Stage 2: 60°
- Install the stabilizer bar link to the lower arm.
- Install and tighten the new stabilizer bar link nut.
Renew Part: Stabilizer bar link lower nut Quantity: 1.

Torque

Stage 1: 40Nm

Stage 2: 45°
Remove the suitable hydraulic jack from the vehicle.
- Secure the height sensor link to the lower arm.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque : 9Nm
- Install the wheel speed sensor to the rear wheel knuckle.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
  Torque : 9Nm
- Secure the wheel speed sensor harness at 7 clips.
CAUTION: Make sure that the brake hose does not support the full weight of the brake caliper assembly.
- Cut the cable ties.
- Install the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the 2 caliper guide pins.
  Torque : 28Nm
- Install the 2 dust caps.
- Connect the EPB electrical connector.
- Secure the wiring harness clip.
- Connect the brake pad wear sensor.
- Secure the brake pad wear sensor.
Install the brake pad spring clip.
CAUTION: Do not use air or power tools to remove or install the halfshaft nut.
- Apply the foot brake.
- Install and tighten the new halfshaft nut.
  Renew Part: Rear halfshaft nut Quantity: 1.
  
  Torque : 175Nm
- Loosen the halfshaft nut.
  Loosen : 90°
- Tighten the halfshaft nut.
Torque

Stage 1: 80Nm

Stage 2: 60°
Install the wheel and tire.

Fill the rear differential with the correct amount of oil.
