Constant Velocity Joint Boots (G2257945): Removal

NOTE:

- The constant velocity joint boots are supplied as a pair.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the rear halfshaft.
Refer to: REAR HALFSHAFT - PROJECT 8
Remove and discard the 2 retaining clips.

CAUTION: Care must be taken not to damage the component.
Position the halfshaft in a vise as illustrated.
General Equipment: Vise
Remove the inner Constant Velocity (CV) joint.
Using a suitable soft drift, strike the bearing mount in the indicated area until the circlip can be accessed.
Remove and discard the circlip.
Using the special tool remove the bearings.
Special Tool(s): 303-D121
Remove and discard the inner CV joint boot.
- Remove and discard the 2 retaining clips.
- Remove and discard the outer CV joint boot.
