Constant Velocity Joint Boots (G2257945): Installation

    • Clean and inspect the outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint for deterioration.
    • Pack the outer CV joint with the grease supplied.

      Renew Part: Inner and outer constant velocity joint boot kit  Quantity: 1. 

    • Install the new outer CV joint boot to the outer CV joint.
  2. NOTE:
    • Make sure the outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint boot is correctly installed
    • Make sure the retaining clip is correctly seated.

    Using a suitable tool, install the 2 retaining clips.

    Install the new inner CV joint boot and retaining clip.

  4. Using a suitable soft drift, install the bearings.
  5. Install a new circlip.

    Renew Part: Circlip  Quantity: 1.

    • Clean and inspect the inner CV joint for deterioration.
    • Pack the inner CV joint with the grease supplied.
    • Install the inner CV joint.

    Secure the inner CV joint boot to the inner CV joint.

  8. NOTE:
    • Make sure the inner Constant Velocity (CV) joint boot is correctly installed.
    • Make sure the retaining clip is correctly seated.

    Using a suitable tool, install the retaining clips.

  9. Install the rear halfshaft.
