Differential Draining And Filling - Project 8 (G2297028): Filling

    • Install the oil cooler pipe to the differential.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

    Torque  : 6Nm 

  2. Clean the area around the oil cooler pipe, wipe away any excess fluid.
  3. Fill the differential with the recommended fluid until fluid flows out of the differential fill hole.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS 

  4. Allow the differential fluid to drain from the fluid fill hole until the flow stops.
  5. Install and tighten the original fill plug.

    Torque  : 27Nm 

  6. Start the engine and allow to idle for 30 seconds.
  7. Switch off the engine.
    • Remove and discard the fluid fill plug.
    • If fluid flows out of the fluid fill hole, proceed to step 15.
    • If fluid does not flow out of the fluid fill hole, proceed to step  8 .
  9. Install and tighten a new differential fill plug.

    Renew Part: Rear differential fill plug  Quantity: 1  .

  10. Install the rear undershield.
