Differential Draining And Filling - Project 8 (G2297028): Draining

NOTE:

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: LIFTING

  2. Remove the rear undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD - PROJECT 8

  3. Place a suitable container under the rear differential.
  4. NOTE: Do not discard the differential fill plug at this stage.

    Remove the differential fill plug.

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the oil cooler pipe from the differential.
  6. Allow the differential time to drain.
