BLINDSPOT Monitoring System

The blindspot monitoring system is a driver aid and not a safety device. The driver should always exercise due care and attention whilst driving.
The blindspot monitoring system is a feature that is there to help assist the driver safely crossover in moving traffic.
In addition to the functionality provided by the blindspot monitoring system, the Approaching Vehicle Sensing (AVS) system monitors a larger area behind the vehicle.
Reverse Traffic Detection (RTD) is a further enhancement to the blindspot monitoring system. This will inform the driver if a vehicle is approaching when in the reversing mode.
The blindspot monitoring system comprises of:
- Two Blindspot Monitoring Control Module (BMCM)s
- Driver Door Module (DDM)
- Passenger Door Module (PDM)
- Left side door mirror assembly
- Right side door mirror assembly
