Starter Motor (G1821366): Removal

NOTE:

Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Raise and support the vehicle using a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Remove the undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD
Remove the right catalytic converter.
Refer to: RIGHT CATALYTIC CONVERTER - RWD .

Release clips.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter motor.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter motor.

Remove the 2 bolts and the heatshield.

Torque : 6Nm

Remove the lower starter motor bolt.
NOTE: The upper bolt will remain captive.

Remove the upper bolt and remove the starter motor.
