Transfer Case Actuator (G1896055): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the transfer case actuator.

    Torque  : 10Nm 

  2. Connect the connector.
  3. CAUTION: Do not fully tighten the bolts at this stage.

    Install the cross member.

  4. Install the cross member to transfer case retaining bolt.

    Torque  : 110Nm 

  5. CAUTION: Do not fully tighten the bolts at this stage.

    Fully tighten the cross member retaining bolts.

    Torque  : 48Nm 

  6. Connect the wiring harness.
  7. Install the heat shield.
  8. Fill the transfer case.

    Refer to: TRANSFER CASE DRAINING AND FILLING 

  9. Connect the battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

    • Connect Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
    • After the Autoscan completes, start ECU Diagnostics.
    • Select Transfer Case Control Module [TCCM].
    • Select ECU Functions.
    • Run the All Wheel Drive System - Pump Venting application.
    • Follow the instructions shown on the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
    • Clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) after All Wheel Drive System - Pump Venting and check for correct operation.
