Transfer Case: Operation: Diagnostics

If a transfer case fault occurs the driver will be informed with the message 'RWD ONLY TRACTION REDUCED' being displayed in the information and message center.

The nature of the fault can be diagnosed using approved diagnostic equipment which reads the fault codes stored in the TCCM memory.

The diagnostic system will detect electrical faults related to the electro-hydraulic actuator motor.

NOTE: The diagnostic system cannot detect mechanical faults. For example; clutch stuck in the open or closed position, broken chain or low oil level.
