Transmission Control Module And Main Control Valve Body - AWD (G1902035): Removal

Make sure all suitable safety precautions are taken to protect the TCM and main control valve body electrical connector pins against electrostatic discharge.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the transmission fluid pan.

CAUTION: Take precautions to avoid any electrostatic charging, which could damage this component.

CAUTION:
- Make sure all suitable safety precautions are taken to protect the TCM and main control valve body electrical connector pins against electrostatic discharge.
- Take precautions to avoid any electrostatic charging, which could damage this component.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the transmission housing, components and mating faces.
Use suitable equipment to support the transmission as illustrated.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
- Remove the 5 transmission crossmember to chassis bolts.
- Remove the transmission crossmember to transfer case mount bolt.
- Remove the transmission crossmember.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.
Special Tool(s): JLR-308-844
- Install the transmission crossmember.
- Install and finger tighten the transmission crossmember to transfer case mount bolt.
- Install and tighten the 5 transmission crossmember to chassis bolts.
Torque : 65Nm
- Fully tighten the transmission crossmember to transfer case mount bolt.
Torque : 48Nm
Remove the support equipment.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
Torque : 8Nm
