WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the brake pads.
Refer to: BRAKE PADS
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Refer to: FUEL TANK DRAINING
- Refer to: REAR SILENCER

CAUTION: Discard the nut and bolt.NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
Renew Part: Shock absorber nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .
Torque
Stage 1: 70Nm
Stage 2: 120°

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
Mark the position of the driveshaft in relation to the rear drive axle flange.

- Discard the bolts.
- Make sure that the driveshaft is supported with suitable retaining straps.
Renew Part: Driveshaft flange bolts Quantity: 6 .
Torque : 48Nm
Torque : 25Nm
To aid installation, use a straight edge to mark the position of the subframe in relation to the body at the points shown.
Torque : 60Nm

CAUTION: Discard the bolts.NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Renew Part: Rear subframe to body bolts Quantity: 4 .

Stage 1: 110Nm
Stage 2: 300°
