Front SUBFRAME - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol (G2030532): Installation

    Install new suspension arm setting clips.

  2. Install the transmission oil cooler mounting bracket if previously removed.

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  3. Install the radiator mounting brackets.

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  4. Install the stabilizer bar.

    Torque  : 60Nm 

  5. Install the steering gear wiring harness.
  6. Install the steering gear. Use new bolts.

    Renew Part: Steering gear bolts  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 30Nm 

    Stage 2: 60° 

  7. Connect the steering gear wiring harness.
  8. Install both the steering gear heat shields.

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  9. Install both the engine mounts.

    Torque  : 47Nm 

  10. Using a suitable stand, install the subframe. Use new bolts.

    General Equipment: Transmission jack 

    Renew Part: Front subframe to body bolts  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Front bolts

    Stage 1: 110Nm 

    Stage 2: 180° 

    Center bolts

    Stage 1: 110Nm 

    Stage 2: 180° 

    Rear bolts

    Stage 1: 100Nm 

    Stage 2: 60° 

  11. Remove the radiator support stand.
  12. Install the steering column. Use a new bolt.

    Renew Part: Steering column lower shaft lower bolt  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque  : 30Nm 

  13. Install the transmission oil cooler if previously removed.

    Torque  : 9Nm 

  14. Lower the vehicle on the lift to an appropriate working height.
  15. Connect the steering gear wiring harness.
  16. Install a new engine mount to engine bracket nuts.

    Renew Part: Engine mount to engine mount bracket nut  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque  : 60Nm 

  17. Remove the special tools.
  18. Raise the vehicle on the lift to an appropriate working height.
  19. Install the engine mount vacuum pipe if previously removed.
  20. Install both the splash shields.
  21. CAUTION: Nuts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

    Install all the lower suspension arms from the subframe. Use new nuts and bolts.

    Renew Part: Front lower control arm nut and bolt  Quantity: 1  .

    Renew Part: Rear lower control arm nut and bolt  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 100Nm 

    Stage 2: 180° 

  22. Install both tie rod end ball joints. Use new nuts.

    Renew Part: Tie-rod end nut  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque  : 133Nm 

  23. Install both the stabilizer bar link lower ball joints. Use new nuts.

    Renew Part: Stabilizer bar link retaining nut(s)  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque  : 48Nm 

  24. Install the coolant pipe bracket to the subframe if previously removed.
  25. Install the radiator protection bar.

    Torque 

    M10: 45Nm 

    M12: 90Nm 

  26. Install the front bumper.

    Refer to: FRONT BUMPER - PROJECT 8

  27. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD

  28. Install the engine cover.

    Refer to: ENGINE COVER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL

  29. Connect the battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  30. NOTE: Using Jaguar Land Rover approved equipment, check and if necessary adjust the wheel alignment. SRO must be claimed separately.

    Position the vehicle on a suitable 4 post lift and check the 4 wheel alignment.

    Refer to: WHEEL ALIGNMENT

    General Equipment: 4 post lift
