Left Upper Arm (G2172867): Removal

CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

Before replacing the Left Upper Arm, make sure to have followed the diagnosis and testing procedure.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Remove the shock absorber.
Refer to: FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER - AWD

Remove the windshield wiper pivot arm.

Remove the cowl panel.

Remove and discard the nut.

Renew Part: Upper control arm nut(s) Quantity: 1 .

Torque

Stage 1: 35Nm

Stage 2: 60°

Release the harness and disconnect the electrical connector.

Remove the bolt and move the coolant expansion tank.

Torque : 9Nm

Remove and discard the nut.

Renew Part: Upper control arm nut(s) Quantity: 1 .

Torque

Stage 1: 35Nm

Stage 2: 60°

Remove the upper arm.
