Front Shock Absorber - Project 8, AWD (G2246500): Installation

NOTE: Steps 1-2 are only required if previously removed.
- Install the components to the position illustrated.

WARNING: Always follow the spring compressor manufacturer's instructions.
- Assemble the shock absorber and upper mount assembly to the position noted on removal.
- Install and tighten the new nut.
General Equipment: Suspension Spring Compressor
Renew Part: Shock absorber nut Quantity: 1 .
Torque : 27Nm
- Install the front shock absorber assembly to the correct position.

- Reposition the wheel knuckle assembly and upper control arm.
- Install and tighten the upper control arm retaining nut and bolt.
Renew Part: Upper control arm retaining nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .
Torque : 60Nm
- Install and tighten the shock absorber upper mounting nuts.
Renew Part: Shock absorber upper mounting nuts Quantity: 3 .
Torque : 30Nm
- Connect the shock absorber electrical connector.
- Install and tighten the yoke to lower control arm bolt.
Renew Part: Yoke to lower arm bolt (s) Quantity: 1 .
Torque
Stage 1: 60Nm
Stage 2: 120°

- Install the brake duct.
- Install and tighten the 5 bolts.
Torque : 9Nm
- Reposition the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) wiring harness and secure in the retaining clip.
- Connect the suspension height sensor link.
- Reposition the stabilizer bar link. Install and tighten the nut.
Renew Part: Stabilizer bar link upper nut Quantity: 1 .
Torque : 60Nm
- Install the wheel and tire.
