Front Suspension - Project 8: Overview
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The front suspension is a short-long arm design, with the suspension components attached to the front subframe and the vehicle body. The length ratio between the upper and lower control arms is designed to minimize track and camber changes, with respect to the wheel travel.
The front subframe is attached to the vehicle body with bolts which pass through solid mounts located in the subframe. The rigid mounting arrangement reduces compliance in the system.
The wheel knuckle is attached to the upper and lower control arms. The stabilizer bar is attached to the front of the subframe.
