Low Pressure Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Cooler (G1868229): Installation

NOTE: Only perform step 1 if the components were previously removed.

Install the low pressure EGR temperature sensor.
Torque : 3.6Nm
Install the low pressure EGR cooler. Renew the O-ring seal and gasket.
Renew Part: Low pressure exhaust gas recirculation cooler O-ring seal Quantity: 1.

Renew Part: Low pressure exhaust gas recirculation cooler gasket Quantity: 1.

Torque

EGR cooler bolts: 25Nm

EGR cooler intake pipe nut and bolt: 12Nm
Connect the lower coolant pipe.
Connect the upper coolant pipe.
Torque : 25Nm
Secure the wiring harness.
Install the EGR pressure sensor.
Install the low pressure EGR valve.

Fill the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
- Remove the protection from the accessory drive belt that was preventing contamination from engine coolant.
- Visually inspect that no coolant has contaminated/spilled on the FEAD pulleys and belts.
