NVH Balance Shaft Test (G2410580): Check

  1. DIAGNOSIS: 

    The diagnostics application must be installed on your machine, download the link at the top of the general procedure.

    Special Tool(s): JLR-IDU2-ROW 

  2. If the "Click here to launch the following diagnosis application: NvhBalance" link fails to open, proceed to step  5.
  3. If the Inline Diagnostic Unit 2 (IDU2) application fails continue to replace the balance shafts. If the IDU2  application passes continue to the next step.

    Refer to: BALANCE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (G2341349) 

    1. Remove the accessory drive belt and confirm if the engine noise can be heard?
    2. If the noise is still present continue to step  5.
    3. If the noise is no longer present continue diagnosis using the repair information.
    4. Refer to: ACCESSORY DRIVE
  5. Continue diagnosis with the engine noise diagnosis and testing procedure.
