Brake Pads - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol/V6 S/C 3.0L Petrol (G1822045): Installation

WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials can be harmful if inhaled.CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material and that no grease is applied to the brake pad guides.
Use the brake cleaning fluid to clean the brake caliper carrier.

WARNING: If the brake caliper piston seal is damaged a new brake caliper must be installed.
Inspect the brake caliper piston and slide pin seals for damage.

NOTE: Only do this step if new brake pads are to be installed.
Use a piston retraction tool, fully retract the brake caliper piston.
Special Tool(s): 206-080
Install the brake pads.

CAUTION: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted and is correctly located.
- Install the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the brake caliper 2 slide pins.
Torque : 58Nm
- Install the 2 dust caps.
Connect the brake pad wear sensor to the brake pad.
Install the anti-rattle spring.

NOTE: If equipped.
- Install the access cover.
- Install and tighten 2 bolts.
Torque : 6Nm
- Install the front wheel and tire.

- Depress the brake pedal several times, check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top-up with brake fluid if necessary.
