Brake Caliper - Project 8 (G2248939): Removal

CAUTION:
- Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.
- If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
- If the brake hose banjo bolt has been loosened or removed, a new brake hose assembly must be installed.

- Make sure that all the components are inspected, replace if damaged.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the wheel and tire assembly.

- Remove the 5 screws.
- Remove the brake cooling air duct.
- Release the brake pad wear sensor.
- Release the clip.
- Release the grommet.

CAUTION: Make sure no excessive force is used to remove the retaining pins.NOTE: Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.
- Remove the 2 retaining pins.
- Remove the anti-rattle spring.
- Remove the retaining pin bolt.
- Remove the retaining pin.
Remove the brake pads.
- Disconnect the banjo bolt.
- Disconnect the brake pipe union.
- Remove the retaining clip.
- Remove and discard the brake hose.
- Remove and discard the 2 bolts.
- Remove the brake caliper.
