Brake Caliper - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol/V6 S/C 3.0L Petrol (G1822041): Removal

CAUTION:
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the wheel and tire.

NOTE: If equipped.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the access cover.
Remove the anti-rattle spring.

CAUTION: The brake pad wear indicator sensor is easily damaged. Do not use a lever to remove the sensor. Use fingers only.NOTE: Inspect the brake pad wear sensor for signs of wear or damage. Install a new sensor if necessary.
Disconnect and release the brake pad wear sensor.

CAUTION:
- Inspect the brake hose sealing washers for signs of damage, if damage is present discard the sealing washers.
- Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.- Disconnect the brake caliper hose from the brake caliper.
- Disconnect the brake pipe union.
- Remove the clip.
- Remove and discard the brake caliper hose.
- Remove the 2 dust caps.
- Undo the 2 brake caliper 2 slide pins.
- Remove the brake caliper.
